Dr. Hisham Elkhider brings extensive experience in advanced epilepsy care and neurology from leading academic medical centers across the United States and internationally. He completed a Clinical Epilepsy Fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, one of the nation’s premier medical institutions, where he advanced his expertise in complex epilepsy diagnosis and treatment.
Before joining Hazard ARH, Dr. Elkhider served as an Assistant Professor and Neurologist/Epileptologist at Trinity Health/Michigan State University and previously at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, caring for patients with complex neurological conditions and epilepsy. His international medical background includes training and clinical experience through Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar/Hamad Medical Corporation and healthcare experience in Saudi Arabia, bringing a broad global perspective to patient care.
Dr. Elkhider has contributed to neurological research through numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national medical conferences, including work focused on epilepsy, seizures, stroke, and complex neurological disorders.
